Summary

In order to process a complex compliance driven migration from a slowly-performing Drupal Site to the global CMS standard of the client (a custom version of TeamSite), a first step was to have our Consultant and System Analyst to document the existing system in all detail.

The Project

This document ended up being a 126 page specification of existing functionality of a "social network for pets" operated by a large global Animal Health company.

All dialogues and interactions were documented and described.

As an extra consultation service the document contains detailed analysis of recommended usage of existing components in the planned target CMS framework.

Additionally several acompanying documents were created to outline lists of elements and a list of Webkits and components that might be used when implementing in the planned target system.

Benefits

The documentation provided multiple key assurance for a smooth migration:

a) it set a reference of the functionality to transfer

b) it provided an implementation guidance and significantly reduced the estimation work for the agency to build the website

c) it povided a documentation to structure and commerically handle the project for phased implemenation plans, testing and work sign-off
